It's often both saddening and maddening that those in both the New Age self-help and self-love movements forget that one cannot empty their own mind and to look inward because doing that doesn't solve any systemic pain going on nor does it solve horrible things, such as genocide, rape, eugenics towards many marginalised communities, including Neurodivergent and Autistic peoples of all intersectionalities, ableism, including the systems of white supremacy, patriarchy, and capitalism since both self-help and self-love are, in a sense and to an extent, political pacifiers to keep people complicit in their own suffering and often have neoliberal qualities to them.
